iseek--Internet System for Education and Employment Knowledge--is a web-based gateway to Minnesota career, employment, education, and business development information. You can research different careers, visit college and university web sites, search job openings, research salary information and the local job market, and get tips on how to apply for financial aid and pay for college. They also provide an online Skills Assessment. After completing it, your results are analyzed and careers and occupations that may be of interest to you are displayed.

Find advice for job seekers on many aspects of the Internet job search, including where to find job openings, how to create a resume and post it, and networking. Has a section on Tests & Advice with links to career and personality tests. Also provides useful advice about the strengths and limitations of these types of tests.

Assessment tool that uses personality as a basis for guidance in selecting a job. After you complete the questionnaire, you receive a description of your personality type and some examples of jobs that might match these personality traits. Basic service is free, advanced service has a charge. Foreign language versions (Spanish, French, German, etc.) are available at David Kiersey's web site.

A 24 question quiz to help you determine possible career interests. After you take the test, you are assigned interest and style colors. To view a list of careers and career profiles that match your colors, you will need to register at this web site with an e-mail account.

 •  Riley Guide To Internet Job Searching
Site provides one of the best overall guides to using the web for your job search. The Self-Assessment Resources page includes links to a variety of free and fee-based online career interest and personality tests sites.

 •  Self-Directed Search
Popular career interest inventory test that takes about 15 minutes and is scored immediately. You will be provided with a personalized report with your three-letter Holland Code and a list of occupations that match your interests. There is a fee ($8.95) for this test.
