 Chris Niskanen, author and former St. Paul Pioneer Press columnist, comes to Osseo Library on February 4 at 6:30 PM to discuss his new book The Minnesota book of skills : your guide to smoking whitefish, sauna etiquette, tick extraction, and more. With adroitness and humor, he will relate the critical skills that Minnesotans have developed through the ages in order to survive and thrive in our challenging environment-- from harvesting wild rice to paddling the Boundary waters, from building birch bark canoes to preventing ice dams on your roof.
