Southeast Library community meetings in October

Library vision

Help us imagine the community library of the future! Four public meetings will be held in October to discuss the library, learning and information needs of the Cedar-Riverside, Como, Marcy-Holmes and Prospect Park neighborhoods. Community members may attend any meeting that is convenient for them. Dates and locations are:

Community members who can’t make a meeting can connect with the Southeast Library project at selibraryproject@gmail.com or call 612-568-5450.

The meetings are part of community engagement and design research efforts sponsored by Hennepin County Library in collaboration with University of Minnesota consultants to inform future library services to the Southeast community.

Southeast Library sits on the east bank of the University of Minnesota at 1222 4th St. S.E., Minneapolis. The building was designed by local architect Ralph Rapson and originally functioned as a credit union for university and state employees. It opened as a library in 1967.
