On Monday, February 20 (Presidents Day), Hennepin County libraries are closed.
Hennepin County Commissioner Linda Higgins and Hennepin County staff will host a series of community meetings to plan for the new Webber Park Library to be built in the Webber-Camden neighborhood of North Minneapolis. The meetings will be held at the Folwell Park gym, 1615 Dowling Ave. N., Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 6 to 7:30 pm and Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 9:30 to 11 am.
These meetings will give information about the planning process for a new library. It will give attendees an opportunity to give ideas about what they would like to see in the library. All are welcome to attend and participate.
The previous Webber Park library was closed in July 2013 because of structural deficiencies. The neighborhood is currently served by a temporary library located at the Camden Center, 4203 Webber Parkway. The temporary library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
