R.I.P. Vince Flynn
Cover Art We are saddened to hear of the passing of Vince Flynn, the prolific Minnesota author of popular political thrillers. Flynn's writing career began with the publication of Term Limits in 1997, introducing the world to Mitch Rapp, an undercover CIA agent fighting terrorism. There are 14 books in the series and the 15th, called Survivor, is scheduled for release in October of this year.

Gay pride at the library
Cover Art June is LGBT Pride Month in the United States. As delineated by an article from the Library of Congress, "the purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally."

Here in Hennepin County, the Twin Cities Pride Festival will be held June 28-30 and Hennepin County Library will be tabling at the event. We hope you will stop by and say hello if you're in the park for the festivities!
