.Aunt Sally is mysterious to Melissa, Amanda and Pee Wee because they only know her through holiday cards. Since she wears high heels and a beehive hairdo she seems like a giant. She lives in Vancouver Island - do you know anything about Vancouver Island? Do you have anyone in your life who is mysterious? What makes him or her a mystery?
.Aunt Sally tells stories about eccentric and odd relatives and friends. Did you have a favorite story? Why?
.Slowly trolls enter into the stories. They are a part of the separation of the children's father and Aunt Sally. Why did author Polly Horvath use trolls - did it make sense?
.Aunt Sally seems to be apologizing for past things that happened between sisters and brothers. A family holding together is as fragile as it's most sensitive member. Do you feel like you know the kids' father better by the end of the story? Can you tell that Pee Wee changes and how Melissa and Amanda treat him changes by the time Aunt Sally leaves?
.Aunt Sally used food to help dinnertime be more interesting. Did you think about your own family dinners a bit differently after reading this book?
.Tell us what scene or character seemed the most funny to you.
.When do you think the kids will see Aunt Sally again?
