Goode, Jennie Drive The romance of the lost highway has, for generations, seduced the hearts and minds of Americans. Nowhere is this more evident than in the popularity of writings from the road. For years, male writers, from Jack Kerouac to Charles Kuralt, have brought these experiences to life. Finally, in this exciting new collection, we hear from the women. In Drive, editor Jennie Goode has collected twenty-one exhilarating tales of women with nothing in front of them but the open road. Drive proves that a woman's place is anywhere the road will take her. [Book annotation] 2002 |
