What I read in 2008. In retrospect, this list is fascinating in that it seems to reflect the American zeitgeist. I didn't consciously select these books based on that. The mind is an incredible creation, no?

Waited a long time, like good wine, for this book. I savored it. Cheeky and sublime, with notes of summer heirloom tomato, chive, bouquet of redwood bark, and that fruit you see at the grocer’s and buy and don’t know what it’s like until you place a thin slice on your tongue and wait... posted Mar 17, 2014 at 3:30PM
