Cover ArtThe weight of silence
by Gudenkauf, Heather
This is a book that plays with the curiosity of the reader. The book is written in the perspective of most of the characters involved so as you jump from one person to the next your suspicion builds and you just have to read on to see what will come of the characters.   posted Apr 10, 2011 at 8:10AM

Cover ArtThe girl who played with fire
by Larsson, Stieg, 1954-2004
This book moves very fast and I was up late a few nights because I was so into the story I needed to keep reading. I was eager to find out how the book was going to end and now look forward to reading the last book in the series. However I am slightly torn to start it for fear that once that is done, I will not be able to dive into the lives of these characters any more. I will miss them for sure.   posted Apr 10, 2011 at 8:10AM

Cover ArtBlindness
by Saramago, Jose.
To me this book is a great probe into the ideas and emotions of how I would fair if this happen to me. The story trapped me in and I was happy and sad to finish reading it. Over the years I have recommend this to many of my friends.   posted Mar 15, 2011 at 10:40AM

Cover ArtThe almost moon : a novel
by Sebold, Alice.
I read this book and often wondered if it was modeled after the relationship with my mother. It was a fast and easy read.   posted Mar 15, 2011 at 10:36AM

Cover ArtThe lovely bones
by Sebold, Alice.
This book was sad and tragic and it gave me a sense of hopelessness. I tore through the pages in hopes the truth would be revealed. I love the way Alice writes.   posted Mar 15, 2011 at 10:35AM

Cover ArtThe girl with the dragon tattoo
by Larsson, Stieg, 1954-2004
I could not get enough of this book. I did not want to put it down, I even thought of the characters while not reading. After I watched the movie, reading the subtitles and was not disappointed by the story line or the characters. The next book is on my list to read soon.   posted Mar 15, 2011 at 10:33AM

Cover ArtWater for elephants : a novel
by Gruen, Sara.
It is super easy to get into the time period of this book, even though I have never been on a circus train, I could see it in my mind. The story moves at a pace that keeps you interested, I don't think I want to see the movie for fear it will ruin what I have already created for the characters.   posted Mar 15, 2011 at 10:31AM
