by Paratore, Coleen, 1958- Tired of always moving from place to place, Willafred, named for her father who died in a ballooning accident before she was born, tries to fix her mother up with her English teacher. Willafred's mother, a wedding planner, knows all the ins and outs of planning the perfect wedding, but runs away from any sort of romance directed at herself. Willafred is determined to show her mother that true love is possible. But it takes a disasterous (but humorous!) wedding day mishap to convince Willa's mother to follow her heart. posted Apr 4, 2011 at 11:15AM

by Crossley-Holland, Kevin. In a magical seeing stone given to him by Merlin, young Arthur views scenes from the life of his namesake, the great King Arthur. This story gives you a very real look at what life was like in the Middle Ages. Not just lords, knights and squires, but also day-to-day running of a manor, medieval holidays and festivals, and the justice system. There is also quite a bit of humor in this book as Arthur innocently learns about growing up and what he may become. posted Apr 4, 2011 at 11:08AM
