by Anne Enright I liked this novel more than the Library Journal’s reviewer Caroline M. Hallsworthy did. I think it is a credit to Enright to be able to write such a compelling novel about a story with very limited physical action on the part of the characters. No light reading here: a stark novel plumbing the depths of struggling love and the things that pass for love. A great book for those who don’t need sunshine in all they read. posted Dec 19, 2007 at 4:03PM

by Kundera, Milan This book changed the way I look at the world. Kundera's brilliance shines from the interpersonal to the philosophic. posted Feb 21, 2007 at 5:55PM
