Toby and his friends are tired of the rich ME kids always winning the science fair. When Toby suspects the ME kids' project designs have a more sinister goal than prize money, he and his friends team up with a mad scientist to try and stop them. Hilarious book.   posted Dec 27, 2008 at 11:26AM

Cover ArtHarry Potter and the sorcerer's stone
by Rowling, J. K.
Harry Potter is an orphan who knows almost nothing of his past. He has been brought up by his awful aunt and uncle, but when he learns that he is a wizard, his whole life changes. This series is one of the best ever written and I highly recommend you read it.   posted Dec 27, 2008 at 11:23AM

Cover ArtThe prophecy of the Stones
by Bujor, Flavia
In this book, three very different girls all have a similar destiny: to save their world from the darkness. They have to get past all sorts of barriers: sealed towns, irate guards, and birds that feed on fear. At the same time, the Nameless One is trying to find the secrets to his past and his future. I have read this book several times and each time I find something new in it. It is a great fantasy story-- probably more for girls than boys, though.   posted Feb 17, 2008 at 9:29PM

I know this book is a little young for teens, but it is still a great read. If you start this, make sure you have access to the rest of series because they are REALLY fast reads.   posted Feb 17, 2008 at 9:25PM

Cover ArtHarry Potter and the deathly hallows
by J. K. Rowling
I absolutely loved the book. The plot was well-formed, and there were certain lines that made me laugh out loud. I thought the epilogue was incredible; it told us a lot, but I just wish we had learned more about other characters and what had happened between the last chapter and the epilogue.   posted Jul 28, 2007 at 11:33AM
