Cover ArtAlice in rapture, sort of
by Naylor, Phyllis Reynolds
I loved this book! It really made me feel like i was part of Alice's life! Phylis did a real good job on making this story so realistic! The parts with Alice and her boyfriend were really real, and so funny, this book is the best!   posted May 9, 2006 at 11:08AM

Cover ArtChasing Vermeer
by Balliett, Blue, 1955-
It was a great book. It had a lot of suspense. I liked the way the auther used puzzles to figure out the answer.   posted Jun 6, 2005

Cover ArtDragonsdawn
by McCaffrey, Anne
It's about when the settlers first came to Pern. It describes the creating of the dragons, and how the people adapted to thread. It's my favorite of the dragonrider series, and if you like fantasy or science fiction, you'll like it!   posted Apr 9, 2004

Cover ArtThings fall apart.
by Achebe, Chinua
I had to read this for school, and I thought it would be boring. It is actually very interesting. It is written by an african author, in a totally different style. It has many political implications, and talks about the recieving of the missionaries and the typical stereotypes of that time period. If you like politics, and some history, I thing you would like this.   posted Apr 9, 2004

This is about the dragonlords, men and women who can interchange from human to dragon at will. When trouble arises for a regency in kasna, three dragonlords go, including Linden Rathan, the so called last dragonlord. As the councils get more heated, the danger rises. A good book for all dragon lovers!   posted Apr 9, 2004

Cover ArtOrlando; a biography
by Woolf, Virginia, 1882-1941
An interesting and chaotic novel. Orlando starts out as a young nobleman in the elizabethan era and ends up as a 36 year old woman in 1928. A lot about personal identity, sometimes hard to follow. NOT an easy read.   posted Apr 9, 2004

Cover ArtThe wayfarer redemption
by Douglass, Sara
I really liked this book. It is about a man, Axis, who has been lied too all his adult life about his true identity. In reality, he is an enchanter. [Series: Wayfarer Redemption #1]   posted Apr 9, 2004

Cover ArtMoreta, dragonlady of Pern
by McCaffrey, Anne
Again, another dragonrider book. This one is about moreta, a gold rider who lives in the time of a deadly epidemic. She braves all sorts of dangers to help her people. A sad, but well written ending. I highly recommend it.   posted Apr 9, 2004

Cover ArtEnchanter
by Douglass, Sara
This continues the story from the Wayfarer Redemption. Axis is coming into his true powers and is beginning to fight his nemesis, Gorgrael. [Series: Wayfarer Redemption #2]   posted Apr 9, 2004

Cover ArtMiddlesex
by Eugenides, Jeffrey
About a teenage girl, Calliope, who finds out that she is really a boy. The book is not so much about this, but about her journey to find herself and how her genetics became so messed up.   posted Apr 9, 2004
