| Fun new authors I am checking out (8 titles)
This is a list of great, fun books that are new to me and I am exploring different authors and wanted to share the ones that I find the most amusing.
| Terrific books (2 titles)
All are books I 'could not put down'. Lucky, by Alice Sebold is amazing about a rape. Susan Isaacs is a terrific writer and her book Compromising Positions I could not put down. There are so few books like this I wanted to make sure mine are all on this list. :)
| Good Mystery/Suspense novels (10 titles)
I love a good mystery/suspense novel, not just the crime/thrillers, but novels that speak about ordinary lives and the mysteries within. Jodi Picoult is a great example.
| Charming Books (15 titles)
Books with great, colorful characters and funny anecdotes. |

by Picoult, Jodi, 1966- This was my first Picoult novel and really was a challenge, but once I got into it, I thought it was fantastic and new I wanted more. I have read so much of her stuff. posted Apr 22, 2009 at 9:44PM

by Tracy, P. J. Superb Minnesota Mother-Daughter writing team. This is the first in the series. I met Tracy (the daughter) at a Christmas party and she is just terrific. I highly recommend any of their titles, they have been very exciting for me to read! posted Apr 22, 2009 at 9:40PM

by Picoult, Jodi, 1966- This book seemed so real to me it was almost uncomfortable. I love the way Picoult makes us relate with each position/character in the story. It isn't as powerful in other books as it is in this novel. Wow, she does a great job with this. posted Apr 22, 2009 at 9:39PM

by Sebold, Alice Wow! This book is amazing. I was hooked by the first sentence! Alice is so bold and heroic to write something this true and uncomfortable in a way that makes every reader hang on and embrace the discomfort and own the problem. posted Mar 28, 2009 at 1:15AM
