 They cage the animals at night by Burch, Jennings Michael. This book tells of how a young boy deals with foster homes and other problems in life, and how he grows up and learns to take pleasure in small things as well as big ones. posted Jun 13, 2010 at 2:24PM

 Kira-Kira by Kadohata, Cynthia. Its is about two Japanese sisters, one of whom gets cancer. The story is told by the younger one, and its about how she and her family cope with it, on top of money issues and other problems. posted Jun 13, 2010 at 1:56PM

 Among the hidden by Haddix, Margaret Peterson. This is the first book in the series. It has some interesting ideas in it. I like it because it shows one of the many ways the future may happen. posted Jun 11, 2010 at 8:08PM

 The shadow thieves by Ursu, Anne. There are at the moment three books in the series. They all have to do with Greek myths, though not in the way the Percy Jackson series does. None of the gods are really that nice. posted May 23, 2010 at 7:57AM

 Eragon by Paolini, Christopher. The whole series is really good, way better than the movie. It has a very complicated plot, but once you get into it its hard to stop.

 Pendragon : journal of an adventure through time and space by MacHale, D. J. There are nine books in the series. Okay, very confusing, especially at first. However, by the last book you finally begin to get some answers.

 Children of the lamp : the Akhenaten adventure by Kerr, Philip. There are five books in the series, though I think now there will be a sixth. I love the three wishes idea. Not the best book in the world, but it’s fun to read.

 Gregor the Overlander by Collins, Suzanne. There are five books in the series, and it is a pretty good book. Through the entire book he is trying to save his father, though does many other things in later books. Most of the book is set underground, in an underground city.  Dealing with dragons by Wrede, Patricia C. I really like this book because it relates to all the clasic fairy tales, but also creates some new ones like the enchanted forest — extremely funny. posted Dec 24, 2009 at 9:50AM
