by McMurtry, Larry. This is number 2 in the Duane Moore saga. Duane appears to become lose his grip on what happens around him. Events occur and he gives us the impression of simply being carried by them. Wonderful writing. Can’t wait to read the 3rd one. posted Oct 26, 2009 at 7:46AM

by BilalEnki The first in the 4 volume Hatzfeld Tetralogy this European-style graphic novel shows to great advantage the amazing drawing and scenario abilities of the author. The story takes place in a corrupted portrayal of the year 2023 and centers around Nike Hatzfield, a man with extraordinary memory who uses his skill to recall his violent childhood in Sarajevo during the 1990s Yugoslav wars. The Nikopol trilogy is another masterpiece by this author. posted Sep 29, 2009 at 7:38AM

by McMurtry, Larry. I read it not knowing that it is the last one in a series (The Last Picture Show (1966), Texasville (1987), Duane’s Depressed (1999), When The Light Goes (2007), Rhino Ranch: a novel (2009)). I found it wonderful and after realizing that there are more about Duane Moore I promptly reserved The Last Picture Show. posted Sep 23, 2009 at 11:52AM

by Puccioni, Marco Simon. Top notch Italian drama. It is seldom that in real life there are simple solutions to problems. This movie certainly exemplifies that and does take the easy way out with a posted Sep 14, 2009 at 7:15AM

by RingoJohn A fun addition to the Aldenata Universe series this book certainly targets amateurs of military science fiction. A previously unknown group of extraterrestrial races are about to attack earth and its allies; Mike O'Neal must get the industrial and military infrastructures ready to fight the invaders. This book sets things up in a suspensful way and the next book will get into the crux of of the action. posted Aug 31, 2009 at 9:28AM

Oh, but so good. What a triumphal return for Mickey Rourke and what a beautiful supporting role for Marisa Tomei. posted Aug 24, 2009 at 11:59AM
