Books I Like (15 titles)
I guess this is a list of books that I have read somewhat recently, there's not really a theme going on other than that though... if you're a teen girl, you're more likely to enjoy these books than if you're not I suppose.

Cover ArtThe picture of Dorian Gray : an annotated, uncensored edition
by Wilde, Oscar
Everyone should read this book. Oscar Wilde is delightfully snarky, which is so rare in the Victorian era. Dorian is a wonderful character, who in the end causes his own downfall. I just really love Oscar Wilde because he’s hilarious and makes fun of everything and everyone. It’s such a great book.   posted Jun 14, 2013 at 6:06PM

Cover ArtThe phantom of the Opera
by Leroux, Gaston
While the musical/opera is really great (though the movie isn’t) it doesn’t do justice to Erik (the Phantom). Erik’s story is so sad, he’s been rejected by everyone because of his ugliness. He only has one sort-of friend, and he dies alone and sad. I’m pretty sure I cried. The musical focuses so much more on Christine’s character and how Erik is evil, and not at all on his internal struggle and grief. It’s tragic.   posted Jun 14, 2013 at 5:48PM
