Did you ever think about your house as being a metaphor for your life? Like your house, do you occasionally need updating and remodeling? My house and I are the same age. We have been together for a long time. We raised a family together. For the most part we have had a loving relationship. We are both still standing, even after a few major storms, though neither of us is as young and fresh as we once were. Our weather-beaten exteriors are sun faded and crackling. Our original size has been “expanded.” We suffer from leaky valves and creaky joints; overheated thermostats and overloaded circuits; clogged arteries and crumbling foundations. Neither closet nor brain has enough storage space. The attic is full of memories and treasures. You get the idea. We are both in need of some minor repairs and major renovations. At the library you can find an extensive collection of information to help cure what ails you (or your house). Here is a combined list of recommendations: Some for health related remedies and others for your home repair solutions.
