I really like this book because I like stories about peoples' lives. This one illustrates the story of Almonzo Wilder when he was growing up on his father's large farm in New York.

After reading this book our family all appreciated the things we have in our life that make it easier. Dishwashers, stoves, cars, lawn mowers and grocery stores all seem such a luxury when viewed from the perspective of 1865!

It was okay. It wasn't a very interesting book. I recommend it to people who like long, thought provoking books.

I think this book has a very good detail of the book of when the Ingalls' family are traveling around to make a living. I love that the family support each other, trying to make the best of each sittuation. This book have a great story of the time they were living through, having great adventures when they were traveling. I would love to read the whole series next.

This was a great book! I was pleased. It is about a boy named Almanzo Wilder. He works from dawn to dusk, doing chores in the barns and helping in the garden. He lived in New York. Almanzo ate a lot. Find out more in the book.
