Lisa Gardner lives in Rhode Island with her husband. She is at work on her next thriller. (Publisher Provided) Lisa Gardner received a degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 where she graduated magna cum laude. When she was 20 years old she sold her first novel, Walking after Midnight, written under the pen name Alicia Scott. After graduating from college, she became a management consultant and wrote romance novels in her spare time. She eventually became a full-time author. Gardner wrote 13 romance novels before turning to thrillers. Her thrillers include The Perfect Husband, The Killing Hour, Say Goodbye, Gone, The Next Accident, The Third Victim, and Touch & Go, which is her 28th novel. She is the author of the bestselling D.D.
