I LOVE THIS BOOK SERIES AND THE ANIME!!!!! i really love that the guy that does the voice for edward in the english version also does the vioce for Tamaki from ouran high school host club!! another anime/manga i love. That guys name is VIC MIGNOGNA!!!!!

27 Volumes; I just finished it recently. It's got a bit of a violent ending, but also sweet and funny. Take the time to read this if you can.
