Robin Hobb, who has also written a number of novels as Megan Lindholm, is a native of Washington state. (Publisher Provided) Robin Hobb is a fantasy and science fiction author. Born in California on March 5, 1952, but raised in Alaska, she is the creator of The Realm of the Elderlings from which her book trilogies The Farseer, The Liveship Traders, The Tawny Man, The Rain Wild Chronicles and Fitz and the Fool are drawn. Hobb is just a pen name for the author. She also writes under the pseudonym Megan Lindholm. Her real name is Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden. (Bowker Author Biography)
