Night The book Night is an astonishing book that makes you wonder what is next for the main character, Eliezer, and his father during the Holocaust. Will they have the same fate as the other Jewish people in the concentration camp or will they survive the Holocaust to live another day? Eliezer is just a young Jewish boy trying to learn more about God and advance in the studies of God. All that changed in his town of Sighet when warnings came from a friend that got ignored. The price for some of the people of Sighet who ignored the warnings was death. Everything you read in the book Night is about Eliezer’s life as a young boy growing up throughout the Holocaust. The book Night is about survival and what you have to do to survive every day while trying to stay together with friends and family and trying to avoid the selections that would send you to the crematory or to a different work camp. Soon you can’t go on anymore; the only thing they get for food is a ration of bread and soup that could be made of anything like dead corpses. If this isn’t bad enough, you get beatings at work for not doing the work how it is supposed to be done. These are some the things that Eliezer and his father have to face, knowing that one day they too will be separated from each other or will be gone and forgotten like the others burned in the crematory. I would recommend this book because it tells you what the Jewish people had to go through each camp and day.
