I loved this book! In it, a girl named Beka Cooper, can talk to spirits riding on pigeons, and dust spinners, works to become a Dog, which is basically police. Then, she gets paired up with the two best dogs around! She gets caught up in the worst problems, and it's up to her and her dogs to solve them, or smash heads in! It's one of the best books I've ever read!.

An awesome book!! It’s great. The best book I’ve ever read. The only book I actually missed reading after I was done.

Very good book. All the adventure and humor and stuff that I expect from Tamora Pierce. Even better, though: this time, the main character is really shy– but still totally competent and awesome! Why on earth did HCLib cancel their order of Bloodhound?

Tamora Pierce comes through again with a well rounded strong female character.
Terry Pratchett fans will recognize this as a more serious treatment of the same issues explored in the humorous "City Watch - Discworld" series.
