I thought The Pearl was an interesting book. It taught a very good lesson, and did a great job in doing so. Although it was slow in some parts, it was a very short and quick read. It was also realistic in the ways people act when it comes to greed, selfishness and desire. If you are looking for a quick read, or a great classic, I definately recommend The Pearl.

It was a good short book. The middle and on were the most exciting, but it ends in a rather anti-climatic manner.
