This is a great adventure story because it’s really long and has more excitement than most kids books.

This book is amazing!!! Far better than the movie (and that is amazing). The first few chapter are a bit slow, but keep reading, it gets better. This is a famous book, so I won't need to give a summery.

If you haven't yet read this book, then you are clearly not a fantasy reader, in which case you should not be reading my book list on fantasy books, in which case I advise you to run before I contact the library and convince them to send out their ninja assassin team to knock some sense into you.

Another series that you have heard of before. A major hit as a movie, it also makes a really good read. Word to the wise: There is a LOT of very detailed description of the scenery. And while to some that helps them create the image of where the characters are, to others it drags. So, some of that you can kind of skim over. Just don’t skip anything vital!!

all who call themselves fantasy lovers must read these, as jrr tolkien is the father of modern fantasy. i wont say they are my favorite books, but they are definitely up there. the only instance i know of where the movie was better than the book, but that just means it was a really great movie.

I thoght the book was beautifully detailed and captured your attention the moment you read that very first sentence. The characters are wonderful and every inch of the journey took hold of your heart and held it until the very last word. [Series: Lord of the Rings pt. 1]
