I absolutely loved this book. It truely showed every point of view that was in that school which relates directly to me because my school also has a lot of "at risk" students. This book was believable, touching, and amazingly well written. There were some parts that were uncomfortable, i.g. use of certain slang/derogeratory terms, but they weren't used as a shock factor; these ebbed as the book went on and the writing got better. All in all a great book about tolerance that everyone should read!

this book is good it shows the pain and the hard things these students went through but it also shows that they had a teacher who really cared about them and that is what makes the book great
