What other readers are saying about this title:
Elder said:
An interesting and believable analysis of the ways in which the local flora, fauna, and geography shaped civilization throughout the world. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about understanding why the world is the way it is today. NOTE: The author presents his thesis within the first few chapters of the book and spends the rest of the book reiterating his points with detailed supporting analysis and examples. Therefore, a less dedicated reader can glean a basic understanding of the core concepts by reading just the first few chapters. WARNING: This is a long and detailed sociological analysis and WILL bore readers lacking an authentic interest in the material.
