This enchantingly wonderful book starts out with Cara and her grandmother Ivy heading home after a visit to the library. They think it's a perfectly normal day. But is it? No. Cara realizes that someone-a dark, mysterious, red-headed someone- is following them. He chases them into a church, where Cara's grandmother freaks out and tells her to jump from the highest level. Is she crazy? Cara has no choice but to trust her, so she jumps off the church towards the sidewalk-but falls into a wonderful land of things Cara thought were only fairytales.
