I love all of the graphic novels in this series but nothing compares to the real books. I just cant get over how the characters look different then I imagined. Good story though I recommend it to anyone!

All the Maximum Ride books are amazing and I loved them. They are filled with so much action that makes you want to read more. My absolute favorite book in the series would have to be between Fang and Angel. I am so excited for the next book to come out in feburary of 2012!

This is yet another Maximum Ride Manga Book. Almost all the books have a manga version so if you wanted, you could read all of them in manga version!

These action-packed stories of six human/avian crossbreed mutants are fast-paced and great books. (Also, there's a little bit of romance, which adds to the story more than it takes) The witty and sarcastic voice of Max adds humor as well, and I would highly reccomend them to anyone.

This is definitely a book that will get you glued to the series. Since I started reading it, I checking out his other books and they are amazing too. I love that is a perfect blend of realistic and fantasy, its very real-life-ish, except for lots of creepy advanced science experiment stuff. You will laugh a lot, I’m very sure. If you are picky with books, I beg of you to at least read 50 pages. Allison was very correct about you freaking out and wanting the next book. Just in general, I don’t see how you cannot love it. I really can’t. It’s just too amazing!

THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!!! The characters are funny, and you never get bored when you read these books. The plot line has a good mix of fighting, flying, hiding and some more fighting! I highly recommend that you read this book!!!

This is a really good book and it has sequels. Although I've got to admit it's REALLY dark. It's also kind of scary at parts. Plus, the end is really infuriating. You know the kind where it ends at the most exciting part and all the mysteries are still waiting to be solved. In fact, I probably would have ended up bashing my head against a wall for an hour if it didn't have a sequel (even so I slammed the book in too my head several times anyway). **********

In this book, everything goes topsy-turvy. from max and fangs relationship to thier newest enemy. Yeah thats right, i said new enemy. Its exciting and mysterious all the way through the book. hope you enjoy the ride as much as i did.

I LOVE MAX!!!! she is so awesome and i LOVED this book!!!!!! it was SO COOL!!! IT was AWESOME!!! and anyone who loves adventure, action, mystery, and romance should READ THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!! It was packed full of action, suspense and romance!!! :O Probably the BEST BOOK in the series, but theres another one coming called Fang so idk.

The Angel experiment, Schools out-forever, and saving the world and other extreme sports are fascinating. It is about six kids who were experimented on and ended up 98% han, 2% bd. This 2% mes them very special. Only, they are on the run, or on the "fly" from Erasers (half wolf- half human experiments) who want to bring them back to School (the facility where they were created) The fourth one is awful, and not worth the time.

The first three Max books are amazing. I loved them so much I anticipated their arrivals. They are so different from other fantasy novels. No vamps, no werewolves, no monsters really. It is just an experiment. These kids, Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, The Gassman, and Angel are 98% han, 2% bd. But the 2% bd make them extra special. They are on the run from sadistic place called School(hehe) and the horrible half wolf half human Erasers. However; don’t bother with the fourth one, it is utter rubbish and not worth the trees they use to print it.

this is a book about a girl named max and her flock. They are 98 percent human and 2 percent bird. So they have wings. they're pretty much normal besides the fact that they are superhuman. You have to read this series, these pages fly!!!

I was excited to read about more of the characters in this book, I agree with DZ in the fact that there isn’t much story developement, but James Patterson does give us a good solid book for character developement and a source other then the books to get even more insight to the lives that they live. Another must read.

The story continues with themes we’ve read in the first three books and doesn’t add any new dimension to the characters themselves. We do learn about new "skills" the bird-kids develop. The plot has the exciting twists we expect. This book is unique in that it has a tie-in with www.dosomething.org. James Patterson is deliberately inviting readers to “do something” about global warming.

Life starts to get complex for our 14-year-old heroes Max and Fang. We learn more from Fang’s point of view in this book. This book also reaches beyond the soil of the United States, making the point that all things are connected. Fang’s blog “Fly On”, accessible from www.maximumride.com, is a hoot to read and follow up on the live exploits of these characters. Not too much story development goes on there, but it is a fun way for James Patterson to express these characters’ personalities.

To gabriellaa_6938, To find the other Maximum Ride books, use the library catalog (upper left corner of the www.hclib.org home page), select search by SERIES, then type Maximum Ride. The search should result with all the books, CDs, and media associated with this series. I read this first book after reading #2 in the series, School’s Out Forever. I found the beginning a bit slow, but the pace picked up and soon matched the pace I had expected.
