This was an exciting book! Becca was Peggy Shippen’s personal maid so that she might learn how to be a lady. Peggy Shippen was a spoiled brat. She was whiny, bossy, and always had to have her own way. Peggy loved a British officer, but when the Americans took Philadelphia Peggy fancied the American General Benedict Arnold. Peggy finally got her way and married Benedict. As servant Becca observed Arnold, and was caught listening at the door when he was discussing his plans to turn against the American army. This was a VERY exciting book. You have to read it.
