Loup, an interesting mix of genetics, and her friends form a vigilante gang to fight the dictatorship that quarantines her town from the rest of the town. Carey's writing style continues to be driven by strong elements of action and sexuality. Check out her Kushiel books for a more historical fantasy vibe.
