This is not one of Ellen Hart’s better efforts in this normally well-written, fun series. Characters’ motives and feelings are not fleshed out. (For instance, why is Jane so attracted to Annie? Is it just physical? Two thirds through the book, nothing of consequence has happened between them to justify the level of feeling Jane claims to have for Annie.) The whole book seems forced and thin in the plot line. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.
