Rick Yancey received a B.A. in English from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Before becoming a full time writer in 2004, he worked as a field officer for the Internal Revenue Service. He is the author of the following series: The Extraordinary Adventures of Alfred Kropp, The Highly Effective Detective, and The Monstrumologist.
