I really enjoyed this book, mainly because I have been very into the vampire genre of late. Vlad is like any normal teenage vampire, drinking blood that his 'aunt' brings home from the hospital. His parents are mysteriously dead, he finds a mark that pops up in several places, and his teacher has disappeared--to be replaced by a substitute. I loved the suspense; I could barely stand to put the book down! The msytery behind the mark and his parents death, along with his teacher's disappearance and the suspicious sub, made it an absolute page-turner and I can't wait to read the sequel. This has to have been one of the best vampire books I have ever read!

Eighth Grade Bites is book one in the Vladimir Tod series. The series is spectacular! It's about a half-vampire, half-human named Vlad and what he has to deal with. And this series is one of the only vampire series that isn't a copy of Twilight. It's a great series! :)

I thought this was an interesting book. That is good and bad. I thought it was good because it had a good plot. And I thought it was bad because I thought Vlad was a little dorky at times. I pretty much liked the book. I thought it was unique.
