I loved reading this book! My 5th grade teacher read it to our class, and we were all really into it. It is about a young girl who loses her brother. The story is all about the guilt that she feels about Mick Harte’s death. This book is a great read because one minute, tears will be welling up in your eyes, and the next, you’ll be cracking up. If you’re wondering, ’Should I read this book??’, the answer should be a yes.

Get a large box of tissues for this one! Although this book is written for elementary aged children, the emotions are far too complex for them to understand. Told through a raw and convincing voice of a girl who loses her brother in a bike accident and how the event ultimately changes her family forever.
