Adult Fiction BERG

From Library Journal:

Berg has created an engaging story of love, friendship, belief, and survival. Anyone who has cared for a loved one through an accident, long illness, or stay at a nursing home will readily identify with Lainey Berman's struggles as she watches her husband Jay lay in a coma. Yet Berg uses this familiar tale to create characters that truly care for one another by celebrating the small, essential acts of kindness and support neighbors share. Beth Fowler's reading clearly captures the voices and thoughts of mother, wife, children, and friends, as this story coasts toward its conclusion. Only one portrayal may ring false as even the minor characters serve the story well. Recommended for women in particular.Joyce Kessel, Villa Maria Coll., Buffalo, NY(c) Copyright 2010.
