Grasping nonfiction. It is little hard to imagin what McCandless’s adventure and taughts throughout the journey were like. Yet once in everyone’s life, we probably felt the same way as Chris, to become someone else, be free, and spontaneous. The kid along with the author got guts.

A sad and compelling story of one man's journey to live a life based on his own principles and shake off the life he was born into.

You mentioned ’to become someone else’
That is not what he did. He tried to become himself, he tried to get away from the false ’society’ and ’things’. He wanted to kill materialistic-me inside himself.
I want to mention a specific thing that you might not have observed. On his two year journey to Alaska, he used to say ’I don’t need people around to be happy.’ And on his last days, he wrote in his book ’Happiness is only real when shared’
