Geoige Selden was the author of many books for children, including Tucker's Countryside, Chester Cricket's New Home and Chester Cricket's Pigeon Ride, all companions to The Cricket in Times Square. Gaith Williams, a master illustrator and colorist, illustrated many books for children, among them Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, A Brother for the Orphelines and The Happy Orpheline.
