Grade 3 and up. Frindle is a unique chapter book about a young and intellectually rebellious boy who will not take "no" for an answer! Join Nick on his adventure from detention to fame when he invents a new word.

This was a really fun book about a boy who starts calling a pen a frindle and how people all over start calling it that. I would highly recomend this book and other books by Andrew Clements!

It's bizarre that this wasn't even a Newbery Honor book, because it's definitely a classic--a 1996 book about who invents the words that go into the dictionary...that is, us.

I liked it because it was good. What made it good was because he named a pen a frindle. Then the whole world started calling pens frindles. Thats what I liked about this book .

Frindle is a great book! It's about a boy named Nick, in which makes up the word,"frindle". A "frindle" is a pen, so once Nick starts using the word "frindle", everybody starts to say that word. Soon Nick becomes famous. Read the book to find out what happens next!
