It’s Z. Brite’s most cringe worthy tale to date, an fictionalized re-telling inspired by the Dahmer murders... What if he had a partner?
No one will ever forget the episode of COPS, during which showed Dahmer chasing one of his last victims, a young, nude vietnamese male down the street, without cringing inwardly and raging outwardly at the biased police officers who, not only laughed at the incident but let Dahmer slip right through their hands on a live broadcast of national t.v., with his pleading victim in tow! Brite takes up her imagined recreation from that victim’s point of view.
However, this is not based on actual facts, but only inspired by them. The killer’s name, and any others are not the same, but it does repeat that foreboding incident above, and what might have happened in the aftermath.
This is also a tale of love; love lost, love found and how one might lead to the death of another.
