This is not one of my favorite Reacher stories. Lots of sadness overall and I don’t do well with that. Neither does Lee Child on this one of my lowest rated Jack Reacher novels 5 of 10 stars

This is the introduction of Jack Reacher and it belongs right up there with the most ridiculous characters you could ever come up with. What I liked about it was that no real thinking is required to appreciate Jack Reacher. Lee Child knows his television audiences well. We will put with anything just so long as it does require thinking.

First book of the Jack Reacher series. Very good. Not for children. Besides the violent way Jack settles "problems", he also has a mature relationship with a local cop. I read this because of the Tom Cruise movie, and while Tom doesn't match Lee's description of Jack Reacher, he did have the right mindset. I'll be interested in reading more of this series eventually.

You must have a strong stomach because of some of the carnage, I found this to be very exciting and enjoyed it very much. 8 of 10 for me.
