I thought that this was a great book. The autho did a great job describing all of the different settings and creatures. Since the book was science fiction it was sort of hard to keep track of the different creatures but after a while you begain to memorize them. Another good thing about this book was the action. There were quite a few good battle sceans with animal vs. creature. Overall I believe that Garth Nix did a great job writing his book Shade's Children.

I loved this book! The author used really good description when he talked about the aliens. Once you pick it up you just cannot put it down. I also liked how it starts out with absolutly no adults and a world full of kids. I would reccomend this book to anyone who enjoys reading science fiction books.

i love this book because it has aliens and adult stuff for the boys or guys that get bored of a book like me. im the type of person that that gets bored with any book and once my friend told me i was good i started to read and could not put it down. it had so much detail and action i just fell in love with that character ninde. so i say you read this book and the ending was sad and i hate nix for that ending.
