Avatar for Grandma Barbara Grandma Barbara said:
I love another of McCall Smith’s series: The No. 1 Ladies’Detective Agency. Isabelle Dalhousie is unlike Mma Ramotse in every way. Dalhousie lives in Edinborough, she’s the editor of a philosophic review, she’s judgmental, frequently unkind, and leaps conclusions. Even though the writing is excellent, for me, reading the Dalhousie books is unpleasant, the character annoying. I don’t think I’ll read any more of the Dalhousie series.
