The Eagles : an American band
Vaughan, Andrew.
Adult Nonfiction 782.42166 V 2010
From Library Journal:
In this superficial chronicle of The Eagles' rise to fame, Vaughan (founding editor, Country Music International magazine) narrates briefly the history of each original band member and their early bands; the band's early successes, culminating in Hotel California; their famously bitter breakup; and their equally famous reunion on the Hell Freezes Over Tour, which produced the album of the same name. Along the way, Vaughan provides perfunctory interpretations of each of the band's albums, and the history of the band is chock-full of photographs of The Eagles during various phases of their careers.VERDICT A nice picture book that doesn't add anything to our knowledge of the band and its history. With so many good Eagles books already available, this one is only for those who want a complete collection.-Henry L. Carrigan Jr., Evanston, IL (c) Copyright 2010.
