What I like about Reichs’ stories is the forensics. I don’t think she’s very good writing about relationships, and she has very little sense of humor, but the details of Tempe’s job are fascinating. In this book there’s a lot of action, and a lot of NASCAR history, some forensics and not much of her relationships. (There is a funny set of scenes where Tempe tries to give wedding planning advice to her ex’s new fiance.) My threshold for this author is not too high, and she met it again with Flash and Bones. An okay read.
