This book is quite a tour de force, and I understand why the Conan Doyle Estate gave it their seal of approval. Anthony Horowitz plunges the reader right into the world of Holmes and Watson, giving the reader a real feeling for their London, right into the best and worst neighborhoods. The mysteries in the novel take the reader from Boston to London via a cruise ship, and it’s filled with fully drawn, memorable characters. Professor Moriarty makes a chilling appearance, both central and peripheral to the plot. Exceptionally well written and fantastically entertaining.
