From Library Journal:

The Greatest Generation is broadcast journalist Brokaw's look at, and tribute to, the generation that endured the Great Depression and World War II. Letting the men and women, for the most part, speak for themselves, this work has the strengths, and weaknesses, of history as perceived by a journalist. His writing is direct and engaging; the picture he paints of some very remarkable people is attractive but with little depth. Passionate about our parents' generation, Brokaw reads his work with equal fervor. This fine recording should do very nicely in public libraries.ÄMichael T.
