I recommend this book. The book had a nice flow to it, and the characters had the southern charm that makes us smile at human nature when it is allowed to express itself without judgement. This is the first book in this series, and I plan to read all of them. I just noticed that Donna Andrews latest book in this series won the 2006 Agatha Award. High praise if you like cozy mysteries.

This is a fun book. Quirky characters and amusing dialog. I’ve since read the next two in the series and this is the better of the three though I’ve enjoyed the others and plan to read the series.
This book is just a great little mystery!!

Meg apparently isn't worried about the old saw 'three times a bridesmaid, never a bride' as she is maid of honor for three weddings in her small home town. All three brides are counting on her for all the wedding arrangements, but when the sister of one of the grooms dies in suspicious circumstances, Meg finds time to help her insatiably curious father investigate. The humor of Meg's situation will keep you laughing out loud!

I laughed out loud when I read about the croquet game and the potato salad! I agree this is the best of the series, well worth the read.
