This is a very good book about a friendship between a boy and a black fox. The boy doesn't want to go to a "stupid old farm" for two months while his parents are biking in the Tour de France. His whole stay turns upside down when he finds the black fox running through the field. He tracks down her den and finds her cub, but his uncle hates foxes because they steal chickens and turkeys.
